My First Poem for a girl I saw in college Induction Programme


Saw her in the induction programme for the first time,

Suddenly my dull life beamed and I felt like I was on cloud nine,

My audacious voice started to stumble like a rat shod with nuts,

My legs and hands started to shiver whenever I tried to face her,

Her face, her smile, her eyes, her laugh was like a fresh dose of oxytocin,

It's like I could binge watch her for all eternity,

Time flies yes I do have heared that,

But these four years passed in a blink of an eye,

With all those pounding hearts and trembling fear,

I couldn't confront her all these years,

It was the final farewell when I last saw her,

Her hypnotic eyes made a special place in my life forever,

It's been 3 years since I last saw her,

Memories fade away like a broken beaker,

Saw an Instagram post today in which she tagged me,

She started with the line...

"Saw him in the Induction programme for the first time,

Suddenly my dull life beamed and I felt like I was on cloud nine"
