Alternate Ending For Game Of Thrones
It’s been quite a long time since we last saw a magnum opus
series like Game of Thrones. This show was the reason I fell in love with
period dramas like The Crown or Peaky Blinders and given the fact that “House
of Dragons” a spinoff of Game of Thrones is under production, it’s high time we
should discuss what went wrong in the final season of GOT. I think the
non-satisfactory nature of the episode “The Long Night” was the reason behind
the downfall of GOT rather than the finale episode, which I personally liked.
Actually, we are so much addicted to Game of Thrones' plot twist, character
build-up, rivalry, and punch lines that most of us can't accept a snappy
ending. I agree that this episode lacked some of the things, but this is the
end season, and the makers must wrap things up. We really won't see a spicy
conversation, steaming scenes, strategic planning, or mind-boggling one-liner.
But even I felt that the death of Night King should be a little more intense.
So, here is an alternate ending according to me which could
make the last scene a little more interesting.
So, the basic structure will remain the same, the final scene
should happen in Godswood but a one on one fight between Jon and Night King
would make it worthy.
After the Night King enters the Godswood, Theon along with
Jon, Brienne, Jaime, and Grey worm are protecting Bran. While Daenerys riding
Drogon is being chased by Viserion (Ice Dragon).
The Night King along with White Walkers advance towards them
and here we see an incredible sword fight, where Jon is fighting with Night
King while Brienne, Jaime, Theon, and Grey Worm are fighting the white walkers.
The fight scene is extremely gut-wrenching. Theon is stabbed and killed, Jon
wanted to hold him and tell him how much he respects him for sacrificing his
life but there is no time. Grey worm is stabbed in the face while Jaime
successfully killed one white walker. Jaime took a breath and as soon as he
turned back a white ice spear came flying towards him, but it didn't strike
him. Brienne came between Jaime and his death. She died in the hand of the
person who knighted her. Jaime now with full strength and anger ran towards the
white Walker and pushed him to the ground. The white walker stabbed a dagger on
Jaime's left hand, but Jaime pounded him with his fake hand repeatedly and
finally stood up and pulled his sword from his left hand and stabbed in the
white walker's heart. On the other side, the Night King and Jon are still
having a fierce fight and up in the sky, Viserion and Drogon are fighting. Viscerion's
blue flames and Drogon's red flame strike and blend in each other.
Here Jon breaks the white walker sword with his valyrian sword,
but he holds up Jon with his neck almost suffocating him and throws him on the
side. He then walks towards Brienne, pulls out the spear, and turns towards
Bran. Jaime watches the entire thing with horror and grieves as his left hand
is extremely injured while Jon injured from every side tries to stand up, but
he couldn't. The Night King proceed towards Bran while the ice blue flames
overpower the red flame and Danny could see death in those dazzling infernos.
Ramin Djwadi's master soundtrack makes the entire scene intense and Night King
is about to kill Bran when Arya jumps from behind, but the Night King stops her
by her neck with his right hand, Arya makes her sassy dagger move and was about
to stab him, but Night King catches her wrist with his left hand in a
slow-motion shot.
And with this scene where every main character is either dead
or injured Bran finally makes his final move, his hands start to shake it looks
like he is about to go into seizure then suddenly with a long pause, the camera
slowly moves towards his face, he rolls up his eyes and in the next scene we
see Drogon open his eyes, Bran is Drogon now thus fulfilling the real prophecy
of “Three-eyed Raven” that he will never walk again, but he will fly.
